The Position

This position is responsible for managing the daily operational needs of fabrication and supporting the development of new business opportunities and capital Investments.

The main responsibilities are:

· Manages and directs fabrication department to support sales demand

· Establishes operational standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.

· Establishes manufacturing policies in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, materials usage, shipping and receiving, capacity planning, production scheduling, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations and performance measures.

· Oversees expense budgets to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements.

· Develops capital requests as need to support continuous improvement.

· Manages and ensures employee training, development, and succession planning.

· Develops innovative solutions for new business opportunities.

· Manages fabrication assets and ensures proper maintenance, replacement and upgrades are completed in a timely manner.

· Develops and manages relevant KPIs in accordance for business needs.

· Develops and manages capacity and resource planning.

Education and Experience

· Required – BS/BA in Engineering

· Required – 5 to 8 years of industrial management and engineering experience

· Required – Experience with developing functional and capital expense budgets

· Required – Experience with managing innovation & solutions

· Required – Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

· Required – Experience with developing and implement Lean operations
