Personal Bankers have an in depth knowledge of Northwest products and services. This position connects our customers with Northwest products and services that fulfill their financial needs while ensuring an exceptional customer experience that helps implement strategies to attain office goals. The floating Personal Banker position also supports the operational needs of the region by traveling to various locations and working a varied, flexible schedule.

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Work Experience

  • 3 – 5 years Banking and/or Retail Experience preferred
  • Cash Handling Experience preferred
  • Consumer Lending Experience preferred
  • Customer Service Experience preferred

Essential Functions

  • Work a flexible schedule that varies weekly based on the needs of the region, including availability during all daily work hours
  • Adapt to changes in scheduled work hours on a daily basis, as necessary, based on the needs of the region
  • Report to various locations within the region for weekly scheduled hours as determined by the region’s need
  • Travel to various locations within a workday, as necessary, based on the needs of the region
  • Open new accounts and communicate with customers to recognize cross-selling opportunities
  • Identify and resolve customer issues as well as resolve or escalate issues referred by the office team
  • Assist with implementation of Northwest’s strategic business plan and marketing initiatives
  • Maintain community presence and involvement
  • Cross train on additional responsibilities such as being on the Teller line
  • Educate and/or refer Northwest solutions that meet our customer/client needs through the Northwest 360 model – bank, borrow, invest, and insure
  • Contribute to the overall sales performance of the office team
  • Assist the Manager in all phases of office operation including opening, processing, and maintaining customer accounts, and completing Audit Certification requirements
  • Originate and process consumer loan requests
  • Knowledge of all job related operating systems including Teller, Platform, and Lending Systems
  • Review and monitor daily scorecard
  • Supervise and guide the office’s success of operations and audit
  • Supervise vault operations and procedures
  • Participate in regular office meetings
  • Attend educational/training seminars as needed
  • Able to work evening hours and weekends as scheduled or assigned
  • Conduct outbound business calls/referrals on a regular basis
  • Knowledge of all job related operating systems and Northwest products and services
  • Ensure compliance with Northwest’s policies and procedures, and Federal/State regulations
  • Navigate Microsoft Office Software, computer applications, and software specific to the department in order to maximize technology tools and gain efficiency
  • Work as part of a team
  • Work with on-site equipment
