Director of Business Development – EPC Services Position Summary

Reporting to the COO, the Director of Business Development for EPC Services is responsible for supporting the growth of Endurant Energy’s EPC business which seeks to provide EPC services for various distributed energy resource technologies including combined heat & power (CHP), fuel cells, energy storage, solar & geothermal solutions for our customers. The role will be based in either our Anaheim, Chicago, Houston, LA, or NYC offices with potential travel to other offices or customers across the country.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop & implement EPC Services sales campaign strategy to segment opportunities and target ideal customers benefiting from our expertise in DER EPC

• Work with our partner network of developers, suppliers, developers, engineers and contractors to develop leads and opportunities

• Initiate contact with new customer leads, evaluate needs, create stakeholder mapping and create sales and account plans

• Identify and screen RFIs and RFPs that align with Endurant’s value proposition and develop “right to win” strategies

• Coordinate with COO and internal teams, including Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Finance, Legal, and Asset Management to ensure Endurant Energy’s solutions and offerings align with customer objectives and expectations

• Create high-impact proposals and presentations that clearly articulate the Endurant Energy value proposition

• Assist in the preparation of goals, KPIs and budgets; ensure revenue and profitability goals are met and provide periodic sales forecasts

• Understand capabilities and offerings of potential partners and technology providers to ensure optimization and value maximization of proposed solutions

• Assess obstacles to project closure and develop road map to close projects in a timely manner

• Maintain accounts and relationship continuity throughout the sales and delivery cycle

• Participate in industry conferences and organizations to elevate visibility and network for opportunities.

Required Hard Skills

• Min 7-10 years in a technical sales / business development role, with a successful track record of originating projects

• Preferred background in distributed energy with experience in solar PV, fuel cells, combined heat and power, geothermal and/or energy storage

• Successful track-record of selling technical or service solutions

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• 4-year relevant college degree required

• Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and forging a path forward

• Ability to effectively collaborate with small teams within a fast-paced environment
