Summary
This position is responsible for pricing support for Cigna Global Health Benefits – Americas. This includes, but it not limited to, conducting actuarial studies and developing rating factors for use in the calculation of various non-medical product premiums, updating rating formulae to ensure implementation of adequate premium rates, and supporting regulatory filing and review processes. This position works with other business areas including Underwriting, Product Management, Legal / Compliance, and State Filing.

Role Descriptions

Apply actuarial theory and methods to develop pricing assumptions for expatriate products and communicate results to various business unit leaders

Conduct actuarial rate reviews and other analyses to explain emerging financial results and propose actions to promote or mitigate future results

Prepare and conduct regulatory rate filings for non-Medical products across U.S. states through strong partnership with internal legal and compliance teams and state regulators

Support implementation of rating changes into pricing and underwriting tools. Provides consultation and clarification on actuarial models and rating tools.
Minimum Qualifications
-
Has thorough knowledge of actuarial statistics and assumptions used for modeling cost, risk and revenue trends.

Strong modeling skills and proficiency in Excel and SAS.

Ability to partner and work effectively with other areas of the organization.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant actuarial experience and has completed most exams for ASA (4-6 exams) or may have ASA.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 79,400 – 132,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
